ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS (English and Spanish)!!
Did you grow up hearing that what happens at home stays at home? Maybe you learned not to talk about your feelings, not to ask for help, or that “nothing is wrong with you” because your family simply didn’t discuss mental health. If something has been weighing on you, that's reason enough to talk about it.
Maybe that voice still follows you. But you’re here, and that matters. Whatever brought you to this page, you don’t have to be in crisis or have a “good enough” reason to reach out. You don’t have to figure everything out before asking for support.
Therapy can be a place where you can talk openly, feel heard, and work through things at your own pace with someone who meets you where you are and helps you move toward where you want to be.
When it's anxiety
Your mind won't shut off. You're up at 2 a.m. replaying conversations, your chest is tight before work, things are going too well, and you're always waiting for the next bad thing to happen. Maybe your family calls it overreacting, or tells you te preocupas demasiado, like you hadn't noticed. Maybe the pressure comes from wanting to make your parents' sacrifices worth it, and from feeling like every mistake is letting everyone down. Everyone thinks you're fine because you've gotten really good at looking fine. You're not too much, maybe you have just been carrying too much for too long.
When it's depression
You don't have ganas for anything anymore. Things you used to love feel flat. You're sleeping too much or barely at all, and getting out of bed takes everything you have. Maybe someone's called you flojo or told you tienes todo, ¿de qué te quejas? or said ya se te va a pasar, or get over it. But it hasn't passed, and you're still showing up for everyone else while feeling empty inside. That's not laziness or ingratitude. It's something real, and it can get better.
When it's trauma
Something happened to you. Maybe it happened when you were little, maybe at home, maybe back in your country, or on the way here, maybe last year. Maybe you never told anyone, or you did, and they didn't listen or believe you, or they said eso ya pasó, olvídalo. But your body didn't forget. It shows up as being on edge, jumping at loud noises, shutting down, having nightmares, or being unable to trust anyone. You don't have to tell me everything at once, or in order. We go at the pace your body and heart can handle.
When it's grief and loss
Maybe the loss is a marriage, a relationship, a friendship, your health, or the life you left behind when you came here: your family, your language, or the career you worked so hard for. That homesickness that physically hurts has a name, duelo migratorio, and it's real grief even when nobody died. I am here to help you process the grief of a loved one or a pet in your own way.
When it's the world right now
You open your phone, and your stomach drops. You're thinking about your family, your neighbors, your community, maybe yourself. You're scared, or angry, or so numb you can't feel anything, and you still have to show up and act normal. It makes sense that it's affecting you. You don't have to explain to me why it hurts.
When it's family and relationships
You're the one who translated at the doctor's office as a kid, who still holds everyone together, who sends money back, who nobody thinks to check on. Or you're a parent who can't reach your child anymore, and you don't know what you're doing wrong. Or your relationship feels like the same fight on repeat. Maybe you were raised to believe los hombres no lloran, so the pain comes out as anger, drinking, or silence. You can love your family with your whole heart and still need a place to talk about how they've hurt you.
When it's about who you are
If you are tired of feeling like you have to choose between who you are and where you come from. Here, you get to be all of yourself at once.
When it's everything changing at once
A new country, a new job, a new baby, a divorce, kids leaving home, retirement, a diagnosis. Two jobs and no time to breathe. Sometimes it's not one big thing but a hundred small ones piling up until you can't anymore.
And if you didn't see yourself in any of this, that's okay. Your story doesn't have to fit in a paragraph to matter.
What it's like to sit with me
I work with kids, teens, adults, and families, so whether you're coming in for yourself, your child, or your whole household, there's room for you. You don't have to translate your culture or tidy up your story so an outsider understands it. You can talk about your family without starting every sentence with, "But they're good people." You can cry, laugh, curse, sit in silence, or tell me you think this whole therapy thing is weird, or feel that you will be judged. This is your space to be who you are, share what you need, and feel heard. All of it belongs here. Speak English, Spanish, or the mix you actually speak at home.
You don't need the perfect words
You can send me a message that just says "I don't know where to start." That's enough. We'll figure out the rest together.
No eres demasiado. Tal vez simplemente has estado cargando demasiado durante demasiado tiempo.
Quien manda dinero a casa.
